I’ve been looking for him for some time. Fortunately, by e-mail, in the end I succeeded in contacting him. Mauro Testella, this is his name, is the son of the most famous and well-known cobbler of Montegranaro. He has followed in his father’s footsteps, Maestro Basilio Testella, called Vasì, becoming a great craftsman.
His creations, personally and rigorously made, range from shoes to glasses, from watches to hats. Photographing him while he is working, has been a deep and intense experience for me. I was rapt with the story of the life of his shop, that belonged before to his father and now to him.
I hope that my pictures could represent the story of this shop.
